Dai Sensei Yagi Meitoku
Before belts, politics, sports, and Karate for business, there was Meibukan. Founded in 1952 by Dai Sensei YAGI Meitoku, Meibukan is the first officially named and sanctioned school of Okinawa Gojyu-Ryu while Grandmaster Chojun Miyagi was still alive. The Honbu still teaches Gojyu-Ryu as prescribed by Goju-Ryu founder, Chojun Miyagi to Dai Sensei before WWII. It’s president since 1995 is second son, YAGI Meitetsu O’Sensei, Hanshi, Judan.Our History
